Challenge #134 Purple Passion

Hello... Regan here with your new Corrosive Challenge! We were just blown away with the response to our Punches and/or Dies challenge!!! Thanks to everyone who played along! It's the start of a new month, October - my favorite one of the year, and that means new sponsors and prizes so let's learn a little about them before we get to this fortnight's challenge.

First up, we have Doodle Pantry:

Here is a little blurb from owner/artist Laurie Wilson: "I am honored to be sponsoring the Corrosive Challenge this month! I hope you like the Corrosive team's creations using Doodle Pantry images and are inspired to play along. Doodle Pantry has a variety of image styles and characters and even some templates. I would be honored if you stopped by and grabbed a freebie or two and took a look around the shop."

Doodle Pantry has kindly provided a $15 gift voucher for use in their online shop.

Our second sponsor is Karen's Doodles:

Karen Johnson has been drawing all of her life. She has worked on the feature film, "Ferngully The Last Rainforest" and has created animations for Disney, Fisher Price, and Mattel. She has illustrated several children's books and is currently teaching animation at a college in Wisconsin. She started Karen's Doodles so she could share her whimsical drawings with crafters from around the world.

Karen's Doodles has generously offered a prize of 3 digi images of choice.

It's now time to announce the winner for September's challenges: Congratulations to JLJ Designs! Please contact Regan or Susan to claim your prize.

And now on to the challenge.... The theme for this fortnight is "Purple Passion"! We want to see your creations featuring this royal and mysterious color PLUS one other color only. To get you started let's see what The Corrosive Gals have in the way of inspiration:

We loved looking at all your "punny" creations entered into the last challenge and we're looking forward to your interpretations of this theme too. We're sponsored by both Dude Time Doodles and Paper MakeUp Stamps, so don't forget to enter to be in with a chance of winning.
Here's some inspiration from the DT:

Challenge #132 Funny or Punny

This week is the first week for the Corrosive gals since Janet and Chris had to leave, so try to be gentle with us while we make the transition. We're sponsored in September by Dude Time Doodles and Paper Make-Up Stamps, so be sure to play along for your chance to win prizes and a GDT spot on the blog!
Here's a little blurb about Dude Time Doodles:

Dude Time Doodles carries all of your crazy "Dude" card needs. We work exclusively with the artists at Bonibleaux Designs to bring you guy images and ideas for those hard to make cards for the "Dudes" in your life.
Guys aren't about flowers and fluff. Guys are our heroes, our fighters, our beer chuggers and bug squashers.
Dude Time Doodles and Bonibleaux Designs have paired together to bring you Manly Man cards and gift ideas. We'll throw the gals an occasional froufrou image but we are really all about the "Dudes" here.
Dude Time Doodles are very kindly offering a $10 gift certificate to September's winner!

And here's some info about our second sponsor, Paper MakeUp Stamps:

Paper Makeup Stamps is a little company started by professional make-up artist Katie Cotton. An endeavor to bring her love of beauty, paper and card making together resulted in a company that prides itself on offering un-mounted deeply etched red rubber stamps and accessories! Paper Makeup Stamps offers various styles of stamps from numerous artists to suit your taste. They also offer a wide array of unique quotes and sentiments in various sizes. Not a rubber girl? Almost all of their images can be purchased in digital format. And just like any great beauty bag, Paper Makeup Stamps carries lots of essentials and accessories to simplify and beautify your card-making! So browse around and do a one stop shop!

Paper MakeUp Stamps are very kindly offering a $15 gift certificate to September's winner!

And August's winner is Fiona at "I Don't Do Straight". Congratulations Fiona, if you contact Susan or Regan we'll sort out your prize!

This fortnight we want to see your creations that are funny or that use a pun. Make us smile or use some wordplay. Lots of scope for interpretation, right? And don't forget that you now have TWO weeks to play along in each challenge, so you have an extra week to join in. Now let's see what our Design Team members have created:

Susan used two images from Paper MakeUp Stamps to create her fun "Ooh La Baa" card.

Sammibug, our GDT member for September, used a darling birthday fairy image from sponsor Paper MakeUp Stamps for her card.

Kellie used an image and saying from dudetime doodles.

Linda's little candy monster is an image from sponsor Dude Time Doodles.
