Corroded Creations: Winner and Team Top Picks - Challenge #215

Hello!  It seems it's that time already- the time where we announce some winners!  For 2015 we're going to be doing things a bit differently around here.  Our winner will still be selected by Random.org.  However now, instead of there only being a Top 3, each DT member will select her favorite creation from among the entries to be spotlighted!  There are just SO many amazing projects shared with us every challenge that we want you talented crafters to get the recognition you deserve!

Challenge # 216 - Winter Blues

Brrr.  Seems like no matter where you are in the country, things are just down right chilly this winter.  We hope everyone is staying warm and snuggling up inside to watch all the big games, or with a good book or movie, and of course, some crafting in between.  That's one of the plus sides if we have to be cooped up inside, more time to get crafty!

To help us get over those winter blues, we want you to create a wintry and/or blue project (note: does not have to be monochromatic but blue should be prominent)

Challenge # 215 - Shiny and New

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!  We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season, and look forward to a happy, healthy, and crafty 2015!  It was nice to take a little break and enjoy some time off but now we are ready to get back to business.  That means it's time for the first challenge of the New Year.  In honor of all things new, our challenge is "Shiny and New" - You can make a card for anything "new" (baby, marriage, etc), use something new, and/or use something shiny.

We are pleased to welcome back Aurora Wings and the beautiful fantasy art of Mitzi Sato-Wiuff.  Here is a little about Mitzi from her website:

"Being originally from Japan, my work reflects the influence of the vintage shoujo manga and classic tattoo artists of my native country.  There is a strong emphasis on the clean and detailed line art  hand drawn in pen on paper, which is colored digitally in my own unique coloring technique using Corel Painter program.  My fusion of traditional and digital media produces a look reminiscent of watercolor paintings.  I hope my fantasy images will take you into the world of pure imagination, presenting each subject in fluid lines and beautiful colors."
